1 cup minus 2 ½ T. softened butter
3 cups quick-cooking oats
2 T. cold coffee
2 cups sugar
⅓ cup cocoa
2 T. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine ingredients in large mixing bowl. Cover bowl with lid, foil, or plastic wrap.
Refrigerate for about 1 hour.
Shape (squeeze) into small compact balls.
Put ½ cup of sugar in a bowl and roll balls in sugar. Add more sugar if needed.

Store in refrigerator or freezer as most Scribners prefer!
