SEASON WITH: ¼ TEASP. EA OF: NUTMEG, CINNAMON, & ALLSPICE…. PINCH EA. OF: ROSEMARY & BASIL ½ TEASP. EA. OF ITALIAN SEASONING, OREGANO, SALT, & PEPPER 2- CUBES CHICKEN BOULION 2 - TEASPONS CHILI POWDER 4 – DRIED RED CHILI PEPPERS OR 1 TSP RED PEPPER FLAKES IN TEA BALL ADD 3 CLOVES, 3 BAY LEAVES
SIMMER FOR 2 ½ TO 3 HOURS……….. ADD REMAINING CUBE OF BUTTER BEFORE SERVING ON LINGUINI, RIGGATONI OR GNOCHI
SERVE WITH GRATED PARMESAN CHEESE....
ALSO SIMMER RICE SLOWLEY IN HOMADE CHICKEN BROTH AND ADD GRANDMA’S SAUCE FOR RISOTO. SAUCE FREEZES WELL.

Notes: I SHORTEN THIS WHEN IN A HURRY BY SUBSTITUING A JAR OF ARRABBIATA SAUCE FOR TOMATO SAUCE AND DRIED RED PEPPERS AND SIMMER FOR AN HOUR.
GNOCHI: 1- BOILED RUSSET POTATO, 1 CUP FLOUR, 1 LG EGG
COMBINE AND KNEAD INTO DOUGH WITH A GOOD PINCH OF SALT, LET DOUGH REST AND THEN ROLL OUT INTO 1/2" X 12" STRIPS, CUT 3/4" LONG AND ROLL WITH TINES OF A FORK TO MAKE GROOVES FOR SAUCE. CAN BE FROZEN AT THIS POINT. ADD TO A LARGE POT OF SALTED BOILING WATER AND AS THEY FLOAT TO THE TOP, SPOON THEM OFF INTO A BOWL. ADD SAUCE, STIR, AND SERVE... SERVE WITH GRATED PARMESAN CHEESE....
