Single batch:

½ cup softened butter
¾ cup+2 tablespoons sugar
1 egg
½ teaspoon vanilla
2 cup flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
½ sour cream
1~2 teaspoon grated lemon rind
1 package chocolate kisses

Double batch:

1 cup softened butter
1¾ cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup sour cream
1~2 tablespoon grated lemon rind
2 packages chocolate kisses

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together sugar and butter. Add eggs and vanilla. In a separate bowl mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and lemon rind. Incorporate flour mixture and sour cream together alternately. Cool in fridge from 2 hours to over night. Once cool, roll the dough into a penny size ball and place it on a cookie sheet an inch apart from each other. Bake 6~8 minutes at 425º. Take half of the cookies on a cooling rack and flip the other half up side down. Place the unwrapped kissed on the flipped side of the cookie and press down slightly. Return the pan back into the oven and leave it for 45~60 seconds. Take out the pan and place the cookies from the cooling rack on top of the kisses. ENJOY!!
