1 peck of green tomatoes
1 dozen good sized onions
6 large red peppers
2 c sugar
1 T ground allspice
1 T cloves
1 T ground cinnamon
1 T mustard
3 pts vinegar or enough to completely cover

Directions:
Directions:
"Slice tomatoes the day before you are ready for pickling. Sprinkle them thru and thru with salt.
In the morning drain off the liquor.
Slice the onions rather coarsely. Take a suitable kettle and put in a layer of sliced tomatoes, then of onions and between each layer the clopped peppers and spices.
Turn over the vinegar and boil until tender."
