12 oz semisweet chocolate chips
2 cups chopped pecans
2 cups unsalted butter
1 1/3 cup sugar
2 tsp vanilla
4 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
48 pecan halves

Directions:
Directions:
Heat the chocolate chips just until melted, then stir in the chopped pecans.
Beat the butter until smooth, then gradually beat in the sugar and vanilla until fluffy.
Combine the flour and salt, then gradually stir into the butter mixture.
Add the chocolate in thirds, streaking it through the batter with a fork, keeping the two colors as separate as possible.
Scoop onto cookie sheets and press a pecan half into the center of each cookie.
Sprinkle the cookies lightly with sugar and bake for 16 minutes at 375º.
