1 cup butter, softened
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp. good quality vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1½ cups uncooked regular oats
2 cups milk chocolate chips

Directions:

Beat butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy; gradually add sugars, beating well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating just until yellow disappears after each addition. Stir in vanilla. Combine flour and next 3 ingredients; gradually add butter to mixture, beating until blended. Stir in oats. Form dough into golf-ball sized cookies. Bake at 350 degrees (convection oven if you have one) for 10-12 minutes just until they begin to turn golden brown on top. Cool on baking sheets 4 minutes; remove to board to cool completely.
