1 1/2 C. Sugar
1 C. Shortening (I use Butter Crisco)
2 Eggs
1 C. Buttermilk
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Baking Powder
3 1/2 C. Flour
1 Bag Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375º

Dissolve Baking Soda in Buttermilk*

Add ingredients to mixing bowl in order listed. Blend on low as you add them.

Spoon / scoop dough onto cookie sheet apx 2" apart.

Bake for 10 - 12 minutes.

My Grandma gave me this recipe and I love these cookies!
