Ingredients:  
1 Baked pie shell (set aside)
1 1/3 Cups Sugar
2 ½ tbs Corn Starch
1/4 Cup Cocoa
3 Eggs (separated)
¼ tsp. Cream of tartar (for egg whites)
½ tsp. Vanilla
2 TBS Butter (no substitute)
1 Can (12oz) Carnation or Pet milk (no substitute)
1/3 Cup Milk or 1/2 and 1/2

Directions:
Directions:
• Mix sugar, corn starch and cocoa together
• Beat eggs yolks and milks together and add to sugar mixture
• Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until thickened
• Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla
• Pour into baked pie shell
• Add ¼ teaspoon Cream of tartar to egg whites and beat into stiff peaks
• Add sugar (to taste) and vanilla to beaten egg whites. Spread on top of chocolate.
• Bake at 375 degrees until meringue is golden brown
