2 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
3/4 cup water
1/3 cup brown sugar , packed
1/4 cup molasses
3 tbsp. canola oil
2 tbsp. finely minced ginger
2 tbsp. powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 350.
Spray 8 inch baking pan with cooking spray.
Combine first 7 ingredients and mix well.
In smaller bowl beat water, brown sugar, molasses and oil and mix with electric mixer until mixed well.
Pour into flour mixture and beat till blended.
Stir in ginger.
Pour into prepared pan.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar just before serving.
