Pkg Duncan Hines fudge cake mix
I egg
3T water
3T Crisco, melted
1/2 C cake flour, measured, then sifted
Nonstick cooking spray

Coating:
12oz.bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
3/4 t. Peppermint extract
6T crisco

Combine cookie ingredients in a large bowl, adding water a little at a time till dough forms. Cover and chill for 2 hours. On a lightly floured surface, roll a portion of dough to 1/16” thick. Use a lid from a spice container to cut cookies. Arrange on a cookie sheet coated with nonstick spray. Bake 10 minutes. Cool well. Combine chips, extract and crisco in microwaveable bowl, coat cookies.
