½ cup shortening
1 egg
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 ¾ cup flour
½ tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp cloves
½ tsp nutmeg
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup apple sauce
½ cup raisins
½ cup chopped walnuts
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º
Mix dry ingredients together (flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and rolled oats)
Cream shortening and sugar together, mix well. Add egg and vanilla, mix. Add apple sauce and mix together.
Slowly add the mixed dry ingredients, mix until combined.
Mix in raisins and walnuts.
Drop by teaspoonful onto cookie sheet and bake for 15 mins.
