Tea Cake Medicine:

When I was little, I was convinced these tea cake cookies had magical healing powers. No matter how awful I felt—fever, upset stomach, or just a bad case of childhood drama—Mom would make a batch of tea cakes and suddenly I was much better.

If I didn’t know any better, I’d swear these cookies could make a fever disappear, calm an upset tummy, and cure just about anything. Forget medicine… clearly the real prescription was tea cakes.

I found this note for Grandma's teacakes. No wonder they were magical she made them like biscuits!
