My sweet friend, "T", passed away at the age of 42 on April 5, 2023. It happened so suddenly, from a pulmonary embolism. Her cookie bars were legendary, and I'm putting this recipe here so I never lose it, or forget her. She was so generous with her baking and her heart--will always be missed.
