8oz semisweet chocolate, chopped
6 tbsp butter
¾ cup sugar
1 large egg
2 tsp vanilla
1 ⅓ cup flour
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
In a large double boiler, stir chopped semisweet chocolate and butter until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth, about 5 minutes. Remove bowl from heat, with a whisk or mixer on medium speed, beat in sugar, egg and vanilla until well blended.

In a medium bowl, mix flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Add to chocolate mixture until well blended. Stir in chocolate chips.

Drop dough in 1 tablespoon portions, 3 inches apart on buttered cookie sheet.

Bake at 350º just until edges are set but still slightly soft in the center, 7-10 minutes. If baking two sheets at once, rotate and switch pans halfway through baking.

Let cookies cook 5 minutes on pan before transferring to wire rack to cool completely.
