2 ¼ cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup butter, softened
¾ cup sugar
¾ cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 12oz bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º.

In a small bowl combine flour, baking soda and salt, set aside.

In large bowl, cream butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla with a mixer until creamy. Beat in eggs.

Gradually add flour mixture, mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.

Spoon dough onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for 8-10 minutes.

For a cookie cake, spread dough on a 15x10x1 baking pan. Bake at 375º for 20 minutes.
