Preheat oven to 350°

Crust:
2 cups All-purpose flour
1 cup Brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 cup Butter softened (1 stick)
2 cups Whole pecans (optional)


Combine flour, brown sugar and butter in a 3-quart bowl.

Beat with electric mixer at medium speed for 2-3 minutes, until well combined. Pat firmly into ungreased 9" x13" baking pan

Sprinkle pecans evenly on top. (You can chop up the pecans if you prefer)

Carmel Layer:
2/3 cup Butter
1/2 cup Brown sugar (firmly packed)


Combine butter and brown sugar in a heavy 1-quart saucepan.

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until entire surface of mixture begins to boil. Boil about 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Pour evenly over pecans and crust.

Bake at 350 ° for 18-22 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.

Topping:
1 1/2 cups Semi-sweet chocolate chips


Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips.

Swirl chocolate chips with spatula to cover evenly. Cool

Cut into squares when ready to serve.
