1 c. flour 1 c. oatmeal 3/4 c. brown sugar 1/2 t. baking soda 1/4 t. salt 3/4 c. butter
32 light colored caramels 5 T. evaporated milk or light cream 1/2 c. chocolate chips 1/2 c. broken nuts
CRUST: Combine all ingredients; pat 1/2 mixture into greased 9" baking pan. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes. TOPPING: Melt caramels with evaporated milk or cream in top of double boiler until smooth. Sprinkle chocolate chips and broken nuts over crust. Cover carefully with hot caramel mixture. Sprinkle reserved crumb mixture over top. Bake 12 -15 minutes more. Cut while still warm
