I just couldn't leave out Grampy's drink, one he loved to order. I can't get his words out of my head when asked what he wanted to drink. He'd say: Extra dry martini, Tanqueray gin with a twist (and later he favored the olive). No matter which home we visited, family and friends had Tangueray gin available for him. He was first introduced to the martini at a restaurant in Southeast Massachusetts about 1975 and had one most days until 2021. At the end, the drink was mostly water, but he never complained about it. It was part of our 4:00 o'clock ritual with cheese and crackers. Cocktail time!!
