1. Pimento cheese: a dash of garlic powder
2. Tuna Fish layer - 1 can tuna, 1 apple, 2 boiled eggs, celery, sweet pickle, pickle
relish
Grind all together, drain well, add mix with mayonnaise
3. Egg salad: 5 boiled eggs, celery, pickle relish, sweet pickle, mayonnaise
4. Deviled ham: 1 large can ham, 2 eggs, celery, pickle relish, sweet pickle mayonnaise

another choice: Potted meat with chili powder, pickle, boiled egg, celery and mayo

Mix each layer of filling. Spread between slices of bread.
Ice with Cream Cheese: Thin with sweet milk, add a sash of sugar to taste
2 large -8 oz. bars for 1 load or 3 for 2 loaves. Decorate

Bread was not mentioned in recipe: Most layered sandwich loaves were made from an unsliced loaf of bread. Trim crusts. Cut each loaf horizontally into 4 equal slices.

Spread butter over 3 slices. Spread each evenly with filling, top with second buttered slice, spread filling to make 4 layers. Top with unbuttered slice. Lightly press together. Ice with cream cheese.
