1/2 cup of Butter
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1/4 cup milk
1 teasp Anise ext
2 3/4 cup flour
2 1/2 teasp baking powder
1/4 teasp salt

glaze
2 cups powdered sugar
2 teasp anise
3 to 4 tbsp milk

Directions:

preheat oven to 325

cream butter with sugar until light and fluffy about 3 to 5 minutes. add eggs, milk and anise ext. beating until combined. beat in flour baking powder and salt.

use hands to lightlyroll rounded teaspoons of dough and place 1 inch apart.

bake 8 to 12 minutes or until the bottom of cookies are light golden brown. allow to cool2 min on baking sheet then transfer to wire rack to fully cool.

to make the glaze whisk powdered sugar , anise ext. and 3 tbsp milk together if too thick add teasp milk 1 tsp at a time.

dip top of each cookie in glaze and sprinkle with nonpareils.
