1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon whole mixed pickling spices
1 can (7 oz.) sliced mushrooms, drained
1 can button mushrooms
1/4 cup onions, thinly sliced & separated into rings

Method: Put sugar, vinegar, salt and spices into small sauce pan. Stir over low heat until sugar dissolves. Quickly bring to a boil. Remove and add drained mushrooms and onions. Place in clean tight jar with a lid. Refrigerate overnight!

These jars may be stored out of the refrigerator until ready to use. They don’t spoil easily. They’re good!
