2/3 cup butter or shortening
1 TBS plus 1 tsp milk
2 cups all-purpose flour
1½ tsp baking powder
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
1/8 tsp salt
Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream butter or shortening, sugar, milk and vanilla with mixer; beat in egg
2. Add flour, baking powder and salt; mix well. Cover and chill several hours
4. Roll half the dough at a time, to 1/8 inch thickness on floured surface
5. Cut with cookie cutters
6. Place on ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart
7. Bake at 375º for 7-9 minutes
8. Cool before removing to cooling rack
