1 c. brown sugar
1 c. sugar
1 c. butter (can use more if desire)
1 egg
1 c. fine chopped pecans
3 c. flour
1/2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Mix brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg and butter with an electric mixer. Add chopped pecans, flour, baking soda and baking powder. Mix these ingredients in by hand. Refrigerate dough overnight. Divide dough and roll into long skinny logs. Wrap in wax paper and refrigerate overnight or for several days. The longer the dough is in the refrigerator the better the cookies. Slice and bake at 350 degrees for about 8-10 minutes.

My Grandma used to make these every holiday for me and my sister. I have never known anyone else to make these but her and they are wonderful.
