1 cup sugar
1/2 cup softened butter
4 eggs
1 cup sifted flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
16 ounce can Hershey syrup
FROSTING:
1 1/2 cups sugar
6 TB butter
6 TB milk
1/2 cup chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
*Cream the sugar and softened butter together in a medium bowl. Add the eggs one at a time, beat well after each.
*Add flour alternately with syrup to butter/sugar mixture until all is blended. Add chopped nuts if desired. Put mixture in a greased 9"x13" pan. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes. Remove and cool.
*Frosting: Put sugar, butter and milk in a saucepan. Boil 30 seconds and remove from heat.
*Then add 1/2 cup chocolate chips and beat until smooth. If too thin at first, put bowl in cold water and beat until thick (Not too deep; you don't want water in the mixture)
**Frosting option; use canned ready made.**
