⅜ c softened Butter
½ c Cornstarch
½ c Icing Sugar
1 c Flour

Preheat oven to 300ºF

Sift together sugar, flour, and starch.
Beat butter up a little bit.
Add flour mix and blend on low until soft dough forms.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto dry parchment.
Bake at 300º 15-20 minutes, just until edges just barely start to colour.
Transfer to counter top to cool using a spatula to prevent breakage.
Let cool completely before serving.

For holidays You may prefer to use cookie cutters.
Refrigerate dough 30 minutes to allow ease of handling..
On lightly flour dusted surface, gently roll dough out to ¼" thickness.
Cut your cookie cutter shapes & decorate with sprinkles.
For a traditional look, top each cookie with a half a glazed cherry.
Transfer to parchment using a flipper to prevent breakage & bake.
