2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 eggs
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 cups flour
2 (11oz) cans mandarin oranges, save the juice
FROSTING:
5 TB flour
1 cup milk
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
*Combine sugar and vanilla, beat in the 2 eggs.
*Add baking soda and flour.
*Drain the mandarin oranges, saving the juice. Add 1/2 cup of the reserved juice to the flour mixture and beat well; add oranges and beat well. Bake at 350º for 1 hour.
*Prepare the Frosting: Blend flour and milk in saucepan and cook until thick; cool.
*Beat butter, sugar and vanilla until fluffy; add cooled flour mixure and beat until smooth. Spread on the cooled cake and chill.

**This cake is also good with a cream cheese frosting.**
