Personal Notes:
My Grandmother's go-to holiday meal for large gatherings, the family story is she got the recipe from a contest winner sponsored by Accent. The further backstory is the recipe was created on the spot by a high school home-ec student, without testing, for the contest which required a large number of spices (and Accent). And it won! Regardless, it is our family classic now, our first recipe submitted to our cookbook. Recipe was copied directly from a notecard in Grandmama's hand. Spellings are hers, but I clarified a couple of abbreviations. Miss you, Grandmama.
