1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cups quick-cooking rolled oats

Directions:

Place chips in double boiler to melt. Set aside
In mixing bowl cream brown sugar, peanut butter, and butter. Add egg and vanilla and beat well.
Mix flour, baking soda and salt and add to cream mixture. Stir in oats. Spread 3/4 of dough in greased 13x9x2 pan. Spread melted chocolate on top. Drop (in pieces) the rest of dough on top of chocolate. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
