1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 cup milk
1 cup self rising flour
1 1/2 cup pears, peeled and cored
1/2 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp ginger

Directions:
Directions:
Place butter in baking dish and melt in preheated 350º oven. Pour lemon juice over pears and set aside. In a small mixing bowl, add flour and milk. Place pears with lemon juice in baking dish. Sprinkle ginger on top. Add sugar. Add milk and flour mixture. Place in oven and cook for 20-30 minutes or until golden brown.
