4 slices bacon
1 large onion chopped
2 celery stalks chopped
1 clove garlic minced
1/4 tsp dried thyme
3 small potatoes cubed
1 cup chicken broth
1 8 oz bottle clam juice
2 cups milk/ heavy cream
1/4 cup ap flour
2 cans chopped clams 6.5 oz
1 can whole baby clams
Salt and pepper to taste

Heavy stock pot
Sauté bacon remove, drain bacon on paper
In the bacon grease sauté the onion celery cook till softened ~5 minutes
Stir in garlic and thyme ~ 30 seconds
Stir in potatoes broth and clam juice- simmer uncovered till potatoes soft 15-30 min
In a small bowl mix flour and 1 cup milk
Gradually stir into soup cook till flour thickened. Add bacon.
Add clams cook for 2 minutes and serve
