1/2 cup pecans

1 box of yellow cake mix

3 3/4 oz of vanilla pudding (uncooked, just put everything in the way it comes, cake mix also)

1/2 cup of light rum

1/2 cup of vegetable oil

1/2 cup of water

4 eggs



Topping


1 cup of sugar

1/4 cup of water

1/2 cup of butter

1/4 cup of rum

Grease and flour two loaf pans

Sprinkle pecans on bottom of each loaf pan

Mix all other ingredients together

Mix with beaters for two minutes on medium speed

Pour mixture into the two loaf pans evenly

Bake one hour at 325 degrees


Put all ingredients into a sauce pan

Boil for 2 to 3 minutes

Poke cake loaves with a fork,

Pour topping over the hot loaves of cakes

Let cakes stand at least 30 minutes before cutting
