2 cups yellow corn meal
2 tsp salt
4 TBSP sugar
2 cups boiling water
1 cup flour
5 tsps baking powder
2 eggs
2/3 cup milk
1/2 cup oil or shortening

Directions:
Directions:
1. Soak corn meal, salt and sugar in the boiling water until liquid is cool.
2. Add remaining ingredients, starting with wet. Beat very little
3. Transfer to baking dish and bake in 350 degree oven until edges are golden and toothpick comes out clean from center.
