1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
3/4 cup chopped pecans
1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups old fashioned oats
2 cups chocolate chips

Place coconut and pecans on a baking pan. Bake at 350º for 6 to 8 minutes or until toasted, stirring every 2 minutes. Set aside to cool.

Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Add the flour, baking soda, and salt. Beat well. Stir in the oats, chocolate chips, coconut, and pecans.

Drop by teaspoon onto baking sheet. Bake at 350º for about 12 minutes or until done.
