4 cups - Sugar
1 large can evaporated milk
1 block butter
1- 12 oz. Semi-sweet chocolate drops
1 - 7 oz. jar marshmallow cream
1 tsp vanilla
1 lb. pecans (if you do not like pecans, use your preference or none at all)

In thick bottom pot, combine sugar, milk and butter and cook until soft ball on candy thermometer - Remove from heat. Dissolve chocolate chips, add marshmallow cream and beat at high speed with heavy duty mixer for about 15 minutes till mixture thickens. Add vanilla, mix in well. Add pecans, mix in and pour into a buttered pan about 13 x 9 in. Best to make this in cool, dry weather.

Ms. Nettie lived next door to me growing up. Tammy and I would help her make the fudge. The best part for us at that time was licking the bowl.
