2¼ cups flour
1 leveled teaspoon baking soda
1 leveled teaspoon salt
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
2 sticks butter, room temp.
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 large eggs
1-12 ounce package chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat oven 375º. Mix flour, baking soda and salt in a bowl and set aside. Use an electric mixer to mix both sugars on low speed, add butter in small pieces. Continue on low speed at first then high speed. Mix until it looks pale, light and fluffy. Add vanilla at low speed. Beat on high speed for a few seconds then add eggs on the lowest speed. Switch to high speed for a final second. Eggs should be well beaten in, mix should look creamed. Add the flour mixture ½ cup at a time mixing at low speed for 1 minute, followed by high speed for a few seconds. Add chocolate chips, hand mix chips or mix at low speed for only 10 seconds. Place tablespoon sized dough mix on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until cookies are pale, golden brown 9-11 minutes. Remove and place on cookie cooling rack.
