Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 large sweet onions
1 large egg, slightly beaten
1 can beer
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp. seasoned salt
1½ cups flour
1½ cups oil

Directions:
Directions:
To make batter, combine flour, beer and seasonings. Whisk until well-blended. Optional: cover with towel and allow it to sit out for a minimum of 3 hours. (May sit overnight.) When ready to fry, peel and cut onions in quarter to half inch slices. Be sure to remove all paper thin skins on each slice. Heat oil on stovetop until it gets hot. Dip 3-4 onion rings in batter then put in hot oil. When bottom side turns golden, flip it. Remove onion rings from oil and drain on paper towel when done. Have more onion rings battered and ready to put in oil so you don't waste time. If oil gets too hot, turn down heat slightly. Keep color of onion rings uniform and don't overcook.
