1 cup Crisco ( 2 sticks)
3/4 sugar
1 egg
2 1/4 cups sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. lemon extract
Directions:

1. Cream shortening
2. Add sugar, and cream well
3. Beat in eggs and extract
4. Gradually, add flour sifted with salt, and baking powder.

Optional:
Red and green food coloring.

Grandma Henny baked these during the holidays! She used to put red and green food coloring into the cookie dough. Grandma Henny used a cookie press to make designs (Christmas Trees, 4 side design with chocolate chip in the middle)
