Directions:

3 cups flour
1 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder

Cover chickens with water, bring to a boil then lower heat and simmer till very tender. Remove chicken and discard skin and bones. Set aside 1 ˝ cups broth to cool. Return chicken to broth and bring to a gentle boil.

Combine flour, baking powder, salt in bowl and add reserve broth stirring until dough forms. Roll out on floured surface and cut into large squares.

Drop dumplings into boiling broth and cook until done - approximately 40 minutes. Flour from the dumplings will thicken the broth to a gravy consistency.

(Recipe calls for 4 tsp baking powder, I use 2)

Personal Notes:
This was Grandma Margie’s most requested meal. It was a special treat because it is such a mess to make and clean up but definitely worth it in the end. I’m pretty sure this originally came from Grandma Mac.
