¾ cup shortening
½ cup sugar
1 (3 oz.) pkg. jello, any flavor
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2½ cups flour
½ tsp. salt
1½ tsp. baking powder
Directions:
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 400º.
2. Mix shortening, sugar, jello, eggs and vanilla in a bowl; stir in remaining ingredients.
3. Shape dough into ¾ inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
4. Flatten with the bottom of a glass that has been dipped in sugar.
5. Bake 6-8 minutes.
6. Roll in powdered sugar if desired.
