3 c. sugar
1 c. canola or vegetable oil
4 eggs, beaten
2/3 c. cherry juice (from maraschino cherry jar)
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
3 1/2 cup bananas, mashed
1/2 c. chopped walnuts (optional)
1/2 c. cut up maraschino cherries

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and oil together. Add eggs. Sift dry ingredients together. Gradually blend dry ingredients into first liquid mixture, alternating juice until all is well blended. Add nuts and cherries and mix lightly. Pour into well greased and floured pan. Cook at 350º for 1 hour or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Remove from pan to cool.
