1 c sugar
½ c Karo syrup (white)
¼ water
1 tbsp oleo (butter)
3½ tsp baking soda
1 cup raw peanuts (Spanish)

Directions:
Directions:
Butter baking sheet or cover with wax paper.

Cook sugar, Karo syrup & water to 250º F or until spins a thread. Add raw peanuts. Cook until light brown or about 310º F on the candy thermometer.

Remove from heat. Quickly stir in baking soda and oleo mixture. Pour onto baking sheet, all in one place. Do not spread. Shake baking sheet back and forth. It will spread. Let cool and break into pieces.
