1 cup butter, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups oatmeal
1 cup raisins or chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cream butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla.

Add dry ingredients to wet mix.

Stir in raisins or chocolate chips and chopped nuts.

Drop by spoonfuls onto greased sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
