1/2 c butter
1 c flour
1tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1 c sugar
1 c blackberry jam
1/2 c buttermilk
3 eggs

Sauce
1 c butter
1 1/2 c sugar
1 egg
1 c heavy cream

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all pudding ingredients together. Bake in pudding dish or 8x8 pan at 375º for 40 minutes or until lightly firm.
Sauce
Cook butter and sugar in double boiler. Add egg and cream. Mix well and cook until mixture thickens.
Note: Can be flavored with vanilla, sherry, or bourbon. Serve pudding with sauce on top.

Alternate caramel sauce
2 c brown sugar
1 c white sugar
2 T flour
4 T butter
2 c hot water
1 tsp vanilla
Combine sugars and flour until well blended. Add butter, then hot water and vanilla. Boil a low time slowly.
