ผ tsp cream of tartar
6 Tbsp sugar
ฝ tsp vanilla or other flavoring (optional)บบบบบบ

Directions:
Directions:
Add cream of tartar to egg whites; Beat until frothy. Gradually beat in sugar, a little at a time. Continue beating until stiff and glossy. Meringue should form stiff peaks when beaters are lifted from the bowl. DO NOT UNDERBEAT. Continue to beat until sugar is dissolved. Beat in flavoring. Pile meringue onto hot pie filling, being careful to seal meringue onto the edge of the crust to prevent shrinking and weeping. Swirl to points.
Bake until brown at 400บ approximately 8-10 minutes. Cool.
Dip knife into water, then cut pie.

NOTE: It is key that no fat gets into the mixture (no egg yolk, dirty utensils, etc.) Also don't use plastic bowl since it is porous and can hold fat.
