4½ oz cream cheese
1 cup butter
2 cup sifted flour
powdered sugar
fruit preserves for filling. Mom usually used apricot.

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and cream cheese.
Mix in flour until well blended. Chill dough before rolling.
Roll out dough to ⅛ inch thickness.
Cut into 2 inch rounds.
Spoon a small amount of preserves into center of circle. Pinch together sides of circle center towards middle (bottom should form a point and top should be open to reveal preserves.
Bake at 375º for about 15 minutes (do not overbake).
Cool slightly and drench in powdered sugar.

I remember helping mom make these for Mother and Daughter banquets or Easter. The cookie looked like a Lily (hense the name) so think it naturally was a popular spring cookie. Delicious!
