2 cups boiling water
2 cups Cracklin' Oat Bran Cereal
1 cup butter
2 cups granulated sugar
4 eggs
1 quart buttermilk
5 cups flour
1 Tablespoons salt
5 teaspoons baking soda
4 cups Bran Flakes
1 1/2 cups raisins (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over Crackin' Oat Bran cereal, set aside.

While cooling, mix other ingredients, cream butter and sugar, add eggs and blend well stir in buttermilk, alternating with dry ingredients.

Stir in bran mix set aside. The batter will fill the largest bowl to the top.

Pour batter into greased muffin tins.

Bake at 350º for 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. This will make a very large batch.

This will fill 3 quart jars. It can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 30 days.
