1 C pickling salt
3 C apple cider vinegar
9 C water
as many cucumbers to fit in the amount of jars you want.
powdered alum

Directions:
Directions:
slice cucumbers into quarters or into rounds or keep whole. depending on what style you want.
Mix the salt, vinegar and water in a pot and bring to a simmer, until the salt is mixed.
add cucumbers into the jars and add a head of dill into each jar.
add the brine into the jars and a tsp of powdered alum to each jar.
Process in water bath for 15 mins. let cool. when you hear the pop from the seal you know you did it correctly. add rings on and store away for later.


If you dont use all the brine. refrigerate the rest in a sealed container.
