1 Cup shortening
1 Cup margarine (or 1/2 butter and 1/2 margarine)
1 1/2 Cups white sugar
1 1/2 Cups brown sugar
3 eggs
3 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
5 Cups flour
Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening, margarine, and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix together salt, baking soda, and flour. Blend dry ingredients into creamed mixture, adding slowly. May need a little extra flour. Add 1 bag chocolate chips. Bake for 9-12 minutes at 375.
