1 3/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda dissolved in hot applesauce
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup raisins or dates
1/2 half cup nuts
1 cup hot applesauce, unsweetened
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, add sugar, blend well. Add beaten eggs, applesauce. Rub raisins or dates with a little flour. Add remaining ingredients.
Pour batter in a loaf pan and bake about 90 minutes in a 325º oven. Cool in pan about 10 minutes before taking it out. Let cool on rack.
