1 cup molasses
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cloves
1 tsp allspice
1/2 cup hot water
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup melted butter
1/2 lb raisins
3 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together molasses, sugar and spices in a bowl. Dissolve baking soda in hot water and add to first mixture. Add melted butter and raisins. Mix well. Add sifted flour and salt a little at a time. Pour into mold and steam for 2 1/4 hours.
